Saudi Arabia Refineries Company "SARCO", that invests in various companies, reported a net profit of SAR 24.5m for the nine months ended September 30, 2014, a 49% increase compared to the same period last year.

The company attributed the increase of the first nine months of 2014’s net profit, compared to the same period last year, to the increase of investment revenue (reversing an amount of SAR 2,312,640) previously recorded in accruals and other payables and the increase of company’s share of the profit of affiliated companies.

 

The increase of Q3-2014’s net profit compared to the same period last year was attributed to the increase of investment revenue (reversing an amount of SAR 2,312,640) previously recorded in accruals and other payables and the increase of the company’s share in the profit of affiliated company Arab Tanks terminals during this Quarter.

 

The decline of Q3-2014’s net profit compared to the previous period (Q2-2014) was attributed to receiving dividends from Saud Industrial Investment Group (Investee Company), Amounted to SAR 15,194,480 in Q2.
