Aldrees net profit rises 35% in Q1 2019

Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Services Co. reported a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 29.9 million for the first quarter of 2019, up 35.3 percent year-on-year (YoY).

 

This was driven by an increase in higher sales from the transport division, higher other revenue, lower selling and marketing expenses, as well as lower financial charges.

 

The profit increase came despite a rise in general and administrative expenses, and zakat.

When compared to the previous quarter, Q1 net profit jumped 53.3 percent due to higher sales from the transport division, higher other revenue and lower financial charges.

 

The firm saw profit increase despite posting lower sales in the petroleum division, lower other revenue from joint venture Aldrees Bertschi Logistics Services, and higher selling, marketing, general, administrative and zakat expenses.
