Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. (UACC) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 60 million for the first half of 2020, an increase of 76% year-on-year (YoY), driven by higher sales revenue, strong sales volumes and improved selling prices.

The company’s net profit after Zakat and tax for the second quarter stood at SAR 21 million, up 71% YoY, due to higher sales volumes, increased revenue, and improved selling prices.

 

The cement producer also cited lower general and administrative expenses.

 

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the profit for the current quarter decreased by 45.54%.
