Umm Al Qura Cement Co. reported a net profit of SAR 25.48 million in the first half of 2017, compared to a net loss of SAR 8 million in the same period last year due to starting of commercial operations of the company and lower general & administrative expenses.

 

The company has also written off deferred expenses related to Saudi Industrial Development Fund during the current period.

The company reported a net profit of SAR 8.46 million for the second quarter compared to a net loss of SAR 4.35 million in the same quarter last year.

 

When compared to the previous quarter, Q2 2017 net profit fell 50.3 percent on lower sales revenue due to intense competition and lower selling prices as well as lower demand during the month of Ramadan.
