Najran Cement Co. posted a net loss of SAR 10 million for the first nine months of 2017 compared to a net profit of around SAR 111 million a year earlier due to lower sales prices, a decrease in sales volume attributed to lower demand and fierce competition, higher production cost and lower other income.

The company reported a net loss of SAR 17 million in the third quarter versus a net profit of SAR 15.6 million in the same quarter last year on lower average sales prices, a decrease in sales volume, higher production cost and lower other income.

 

The cement producer’s losses quadrupled in Q3 compared to the previous quarter.
