Saudi Arabia’s Public Transport Authority (PTA) is working with the private sector to manage and develop 12 logistic zones, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing Rumaih Al Rumaih, president of PTA.
“The authority will offer various sites to develop truck parking spaces at the entry points to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, as part of the Kingdom’s plan to convert into a logistics hub,” Al Rumaih said.
The authority is mulling various initiatives in the railways, port, airport, and road sectors to develop logistic services, Argaam earlier reported.
