Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. said it attended on Tuesday a meeting at the ministry of environment, water and agriculture, to review the results of a land survey it had conducted.
The meeting, which was also attended by the consultancy company appointed to survey the agricultural plots, discussed the results of the survey and the ways that areas to be owned by the company should be measured, Tabuk said in a bourse statement.
The company has requested time until Oct. 25, 2017 to discuss the results of the meeting with its board of directors after which any financial impact of the process would be announced, the statement added.
In February 2015, Saudi Arabia’s agriculture ministry warned local companies that it could take back their lands if failed to comply with the cabinet’s conditions for land ownership, Argaam reported.
