Chemanol says financial impact of its plants shutdown is SAR 22 million

Methanol Chemicals Co., Chemanol, said the financial impact of disruption of production at its methanol and dimethylformamide plants is about SAR 22 million and will be reflected in the 2nd quarter, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

 

The company has spent SAR 2 million on repairing the methanol  plant and the remaining cost are in lost sales, it added.

 

Chemanol shutdown the methanol and dimethylformamide plants on April 14 for unscheduled  maintenance, according to Argaam.

 

It resumed operations in the methanol  and dimethylformamide plants on April 20 and April 23 respectively.
