Ataa Educational Co. is expected to achieve strong results during the current year, the company’s CEO, Fahad Altuwaijri, told Argaam in an interview on the sidelines of the EFG Hermes Saudi Forum in London.
He went on to say that Ataa Educational takes over 10% of the private education market in Riyadh, with 45,000 students enrolled in its 21 complexes ranging from kindergarten to high school.
Altuwaijri further stressed that acquiring and building new schools and educational complexes is the company’s strategic direction to expand its services.
The Ministry of Education has recently granted investors the opportunity to exploit their buildings after school hours and during summer vacation to serve the educational process, which accordingly benefits investors, the CEO added.
Ataa Educational has been keen to capitalize on and invest in its headquarters after hours, including schools, theaters, playgrounds, classrooms, and halls, according to Altuwaijry, who expects investors to see results during the next fiscal year.
Moreover, the top executive said that foreign investors are particularly interested in the Saudi education market due to its high potential, given the Kingdom's interest in education and the funds injected in this sector.
With regard to the performance of subsidiaries, the CEO said that the company follows up on all its subsidiaries and works to improve and rationalize their performance, exploit buildings and capabilities. In addition, the company seeks to best use the densities in buildings in terms of classes and the number of students, while ensuring the quality of education and services provided to students.
