A new regulation for hotel licenses will be introduced soon to public for feedback, Abdul Majeed Al-Nasser, Investment Advisor at the Ministry of Tourism, said during a meeting held by the Eastern Chamber.
The Tourism Development Fund plans to launch a new finance program for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a funding ratio of over 50%, to be available to benefit from its financing products in Q1 2021, Al-Nasser noted.
He pointed out that the road map for Tourism 2030 is based on two main phases, whereby the first will last until 2022 before the launch of giant projects, and comes under the title “Discover Saudi Arabia”, while the second phase starts from 2022 to 2030 and is titled “Live the Saudi Experience”.
The tourist sites have been divided into 24 prominent sites, 38 sites with great potential and 500 complementary sites. “These are additional sites of tourist interest that complement the experience after visiting prominent sites and sites with great potential,” Al-Nasser clarified.
