Work resumption for public sector employees allowed after reviewing indicators, says official

The resumption of full attendance of public sector employees from Sunday was allowed after reviewing indicators, data, and reports from all regions in the Kingdom, Nasser Al-Hazani, official spokesperson of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, said.

 

A number of requirements have been set out of which the most prominent one is the percentage of those working remotely among the entity’s employees should not exceed 25%, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

This will enable remote workers to perform their tasks easily and establish the importance of continue working remotely with the groups most vulnerable to infection, according to the classification of the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

 

Al-Hazani further added that the attendance of employees will continue according to the flexible working hours over three shifts (the first is from 7.30 am, the second from 8.30 am, and the third from 9.30 am).

 

He indicated that workplaces will continue the suspension of fingerprints in order to preserve the safety of employees.

 

Al-Hazani referred to the common inquiries during the past 24 hours and highlighted the importance of bringing the medical reports, for groups including (excluding groups with most risk of infection) the following categories:

 

-Those over the age of 65 and suffering from chronic lung diseases or severe asthma, chronic heart diseases, acquired immunodeficiency and genetic immunodeficiency, obesity

-Patients with uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure

-Patients with kidney failure

-Patients with cirrhosis
