30/04/2020 Argaam

Saudi Ceramic Co. announced that the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee approved the recommendation of the GCC Standing Committee for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on GCC imports of ceramic and porcelain products from China and India.

Anti-dumping duty on Chinese products will range from 23.5% to 76% while the rates from India will range from 17.6% to 106% based on the company’s anti-dumping complaint filed in November 2018.

The complaint was filed by Saudi Ceramics, Al-Fanar Factory and other ceramic producers operating in the Kingdom and the GCC region.

Anti-dumping measures imposed for 5 renewable years are expected to boost the company's annual sales and market share locally and in the Gulf countries.
