NCB Cap tops Saudi brokerage firms in Dec 2019

NCB Capital (NCBC) topped the brokerage firms operating in Saudi Arabia by market share (volume of transactions) in December 2019, according to recent data compiled by Argaam.

 

The brokerage firm accounted for 13.72%, or SAR 31 billion, of total market transactions on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

 

Meanwhile, Al Rajhi Capital came in the second place, accounting for 13.14%, or SAR 29.7 billion, by the end of December.

 

AlJazira Capital ranked third with SAR 19.6 billion, followed by Samba Capital with SAR 19.29 billion.

 

The list combined Citigroup Saudi Arabia with total transactions worth SAR 33.8 million in December, following joining the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) a month earlier.

When compared to November 2019, the combined trading value of brokerage firms increased by SAR 110.2 billion to SAR 225.99 billion, in line with the listing of Saudi Aramco on Tadawul on Dec. 11.

 

On the Nomu Parallel Market, Al Rajhi Capital topped the list of brokerages operating in the same month, brokering up to SAR 195.2 million of total transactions.

 

Elsewhere, the number of brokerage companies working on exchange-traded funds (ETFs) rose to 13 in December.

 

Falcom Financial Services took the lead for trading on sukuk and bonds with around SAR 39 million.
