Saudi Real Estate Co. (Al Akaria) reported a net profit of SAR 69.6 million in the first half of this year, a 46 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase attributed to lower cost of finance, higher other revenues, and an increase in profit from investments.

The company saw a net profit of SAR 18.8 million in the second quarter this year, a drop by 56 percent YoY on unrealized loss on fair value derivatives and an increase in the general and administrative expenses.

 

The Q2 net profit was down 63 percent compared to the previous quarter mainly on the back of unrealized loss on fair value derivatives and a higher zakat provision.
