Akaria’s net profit up 50% to SAR 146.8m for the first nine months of 2014 and a profit of SAR 61.3m for Q3

Saudi Real Estate Company(Akaria), reported a net profit of SAR 146.8m for the nine months ended September 30,2014, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year.

A net profit of SAR 61.3m was reported for Q3-2014.

The Company attributed the increase of the first nine months of 2014’s net profit compared to the same period last year to recognizing income from investee companies during the current period and recognizing SAR17.6 million losses during the same period of the previous year representing the company’s share of losses from Arabian United Float Glass company and recognizing SAR5.8 million losses during the same period of the previous year from the removal and demolition of the old akaria building sixty street-Malaz.

 

The Company attributed the increase of Q3-2014’s net profit compared to the same period last year to recognizing income from investee companies during the current quarter and recognizing SAR5.8 million losses during the same quarter of the previous year from the removal and demolition of the old akaria building sixty street-Malaz.

 

The increase of Q3-2014’s net profit compared to the previous period (Q2-2014) was attributed to the increase of occupancy rates and recognizing income from investee companies during the current quarter.
