Hail Cement’s net income dropped 3.3 percent year-on-year to SAR 80.85 million in the first nine months of 2016 on increased provision for zakat, strong competition and lower demand.

Third quarter profit rose 15.3 percent to SAR 20.12 million due to unrealized investment loss reported in the same period last year which offset a drop in revenue attributed to lower demand and the occurrence of Hajj and the summer holidays. Compared to the previous quarter, net income fell 27 percent.
