Qassim Cement net profit jumps 67% in H1 2019

Qassim Cement Co. reported a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 126.5 million for the first half of 2019, up 67.4 percent year-on-year (YoY) driven by higher average selling prices and higher return on investment.

The cement producer's net profit in Q2 2019 nearly quadrupled YoY to SAR 70.5 million, compared to SAR 18.4 million a year earlier, attributed to higher average selling prices, higher return on investment and an increase in other income.

 

On a sequential basis, Q2 2019 net profit rose 25.8 percent from the previous quarter on higher average selling prices, lower general and administrative expenses, higher return on investment, higher other income and zero other expenses.
