Najran Cement Co. has decided to temporarily suspend its second production line, while operations will resume at its third production line, effective from July 1, 2019.
The decision was taken due to a decline in clinker inventory to targeted levels, the cement producer said in a bourse statement.
The move -- believed to improve operational efficiency – is expected to have a direct financial impact on 2019 results, as fixed cost is seen to drop by SAR 5.7 million, it added.
The second production line has a capacity of 3,000 tons per day, while the third line can produce 6,500 tons per day.
