Global infrastructure services firm, AECOM, and Princess Nourah University (PNU) have signed a training agreement that enables both organizations to collaborate on key areas of activity, including teaching and learning, internships and graduate recruitment.
Signed for four years, the agreement outlines the pathway for the advancement of students onto AECOM’s internship and graduate programs.
"Our partnership with PNU will focus on training the next generation of professionals with the skills that the country needs to meet the objectives of Vision 2030," Mousa Mashraqi, HR Director, AECOM Arabia, said.
Over the past two years, AECOM and PNU have held several joint workshops to share knowledge and explore areas of mutual interest, including interview coaching and job search support.
In addition, more than ten PNU students have already completed internships at AECOM’s offices, providing them with practical experience of current industry thinking. Seven PNU graduates have advanced onto the graduate program to date.
“To resource our increasing backlog in Saudi Arabia, we need to grow our headcount by 1,000 people in the next 12 months. Hiring young Saudi talent is a key part of our recruitment strategy,” Lara Poloni, Chief Executive EMEA at AECOM said.
“The training agreement with PNU will leave a positive and long-term legacy in the Kingdom, equipping female professionals with the skills required to achieve Vision 2030,” she added.
