The Human Resources Development Fund’s (HADAF) has started to deposit the first and second installments of the financial support given to enterprises as part of the Employment Subsidy Program for Upskilling, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The financial support covers a percentage of the wages Saudi workers receive at the registered enterprises.
HADAF will deposit the installments on the 28th of every month.
According to data compiled by Argaam, HADAF’s subsidy program allocates 70 percent of the funds for employment support, while 30 percent is spent on training services.
Eligible employees receive the financial support for 36 months.
For the first year, they will get 30 percent of their monthly salary, while in the second and third year they will get 20 percent and 10 percent of their salaries, respectively.
The support amount could increase in case of employing women, persons with disabilities, residents of rural areas and if the enterprise has 50 workers or less.
The minimum eligible wage is SAR 4,000 and the maximum is SAR 10,000.
