9 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Tuesday.

 

1) The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) has placed a trading halt on shares of Alujain Corp.Halwani Bros Co.Walaa Cooperative Insurance Co. and National Agriculture Marketing Co. (Thimar) for one trading session on Monday May 13, 2019.

 

2) The National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC) narrowed its net losses to SAR 3.67 million for the first quarter of 2019 from a loss of SAR 5.02 million in the same period last year on higher sales.

 

3) Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company (SPM) reported SAR 80.55 million in accumulated losses, accounting for 32.88 percent of its capital as of March 31, 2019.

 

4) Halwani Bros expects to issue Q1 2019 financial statements by Thursday, May 30, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

5) Leejam Sports Co. (Fitness Time) board of directors has recommended a 4.02 percent cash dividend for the first quarter of 2019, at SAR 0.402 per share, amounting to SAR 21.05 million.

 

6) Al Jouf Cement Co.’s net profit after zakat and tax tumbled 63.4 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.5 million for Q1 2019 due to an increase in the cost of goods sold amid interrupted operations and higher financing charges.

 

7) Dur Hospitality Company’s (Dur) board of directors appointed on May 12 Sultan Al-Otaibi as the new chief executive officer effective from July 1, 2019.

 

8) Saudi Cable Co. widened its net loss after zakat and tax by 54 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 32.4 million in the first quarter of 2019 on lower volume and the absence of waived off loans worth SAR 25 million.

 

9) Brent crude on Tuesday gained 22 cents to reach $70.45/bbl, while WTI crude also increased 16 cents to $61.20/bbl.
