Marriott International has announced the opening of Marriott executive apartments Madinah, marking the brand’s debut in the holy city and its third in Saudi Arabia, a statement said.
“Our growth and focus on Saudi Arabia is aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 to support the country’s growing tourism and hospitality sectors. Religious tourism plays a key role as the government plans to attract 30 million pilgrims by 2030,” Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Marriott International, Middle East & Africa, said.
Saudi Arabia is Marriott International’s second largest market in the Middle East. Marriott Executive Apartments Madinah joins the company’s current portfolio of 27 operating hotels across nine cities. The company expects to nearly double its presence in Saudi Arabia in the next five years, the statement added.
