TASI market cap rises 5% in April 2019

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed April 2019 at 9,304 points, 5.50 percent or 484.8 points higher, when compared to the previous month.

During the month, the index hit its highest level at 9,365 points, while the lowest level was hit at 8,817, the Saudi stock exchange said in a monthly statement.

Total equity market capitalization grew by 4.74 percent month-on-month (MoM) to SAR 2.186 trillion. Total turnover jumped 25.10 percent MoM to SAR 77.24 billion.

The total number of shares changing hands reached 2.92 billion shares in April, an increase of 4.55 percent MoM.

Total number of transactions rose 8.67 percent MoM to 2.41 million in April this year.
