Saudi banks’ treasury bond holdings rise in Q1 2019

Saudi banks’ investments in treasury bonds increased by around SAR 31.1 billion year-on-year to SAR 336 billion in Q1 2019, new data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

Saudi banks’ treasury bond holdings increased by SAR 4.8 billion month-on-month in March 2019.

 

SAMA’s foreign assets rose by SAR 48.4 billion for the month to around SAR 1.89 trillion.
