Saudi POS transactions rise 20% in March 2019

Point-of-sale (POS) transactions in Saudi Arabia saw a 20 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase to SAR 23.4 billion in March, figures from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) show.

 

Data showed that 120.8 million transactions were processed through nearly 363.8 points-of-sales in shopping malls, retail stores, and pharmacies.

Cash withdrawals declined 2 percent YoY to SAR 65.3 billion through 187.6 million transactions processed across 18,700 ATMs in March.
