The Royal Commission for Jubail has signed a notice to allocate a site for the construction and operation of a vehicle assembly plant in Jubail Industrial City in cooperation with the Saudi National Automobile Manufacturing Company (SNAM) and with the South Korean company SsangYong, the Center for International Communication (CIC) said in a tweet on Tuesday.
The SAR 700-million assembly plant will have an annual production capacity of 10,000 to 30,000 cars and will create 300 direct jobs, the tweet said.
