Al Abdullatif wins SAR 20 mln contract to re-carpet Prophet’s Mosque

Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Co. (AIIC) has been awarded a contract worth SAR 19.9 million ($5.31 million) by Saudi authorities to supply new carpets, rugs, and other fittings to the Prophet Mohammed’s Mosque in Madinah.

 

The 18-month deal was signed on April 7, the textile manufacturer said in a bourse statement on Monday.

 

Related financial impact is expected to reflect positively on Q4 2019 and Q1 2020 financial statements.

 

No related parties are involved in the deal, Al Abdullatif added.

 

The Prophet’s Mosque, also known as Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, has been undergoing extensive restructuring and expansions in the past few years. It is considered one of the world’s largest mosques.
