Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors rose 3 percent by the end of January 2019 to around SAR 1.48 trillion compared to SAR 1.44 trillion a year earlier, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.
Private sector lending also edged up 2 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.431 trillion for the same month.
The value of loans given to the public sector rose 5 percent YoY to SAR 48.3 billion in January.
