Saudi Arabia's King Salman on Sunday attended the opening session of the first Arab- European Union (EU) Summit in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
The King delivered a speech in which he lauded the historic relations between the Arab world and the European Union in the political, security, economic and cultural fields.
The King also met British Prime Minister Theresa May, Sweden’s Prime Minister Stephan Loewen, and other leaders on the sidelines of the Arab-European Summit.
The theme of the summit is "Investing in Stability" and was held under the co-chairmanship of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and President of European Council Donald Tusk.
On Saturday, King Salman arrived in Egypt on an official visit at the invitation of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
