Nama Chemicals Co.’s shareholders have approved terminating the current board term and elect new board members for a three-year term starting from Feb. 17, 2019, the company said in a bourse statement.
The new board includes Princess Nouf Al Saud, Saud Al Gosibi, Adnan Al Nuaim, Abdulmohsen AlOgaili, Abdullah bin Hamdan Al Sorayai, Hazem Mansour Al Fardan, Malfi Bin Manahi Al Baqmi and Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Essa.
Last November, Nama’s major shareholders submitted a request for holding a general assembly meeting to vote on dismissing the existing board of directors and electing a new one.
Later in January, the company’s board members have submitted their resignations.
In n January, the company received a letter from some major shareholders asking to withdraw the board sacking request submitted by them earlier.
Nama’s board of directors also decided to withdraw its resignation submitted earlier during the same month.
