French military shipbuilder Naval Group has begun discussions with Saudi Arabia on potential deals, which includes corvettes and maintenance contracts of vessels, The National reported, citing company CEO Herve Guillou.
The state-owned firm had supplied seven frigates to Saudi Arabia between 1985 and 1994.
Separately, it is finalizing an agreement for two Gowind corvettes in the UAE, including an option for two more vessels, along with building two vessels in Alexandria Shipyard in Egypt, he added.
