Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has provided 450 locations across the Kingdom with 5G network as part of the network’s initial phase, the telco said on its website on Monday.
The step makes STC’s 5G network widest in the MENA region, and one of the top 5G services worldwide, the statement added.
The company is working on completing the remaining 5G phases on a wider scale, aiming to keep up with the latest global technologies, improve its digital services, and enrich customer experience across the Kingdom, it said.
“A larger number of advanced technical services and solutions operated in high internet speed would be available to customers by the second half of 2019,” the statement said.
STC launched its 5G network in May 2018, Argaam previously reported.
