Al Rajhi, NCBC amongst top Saudi brokerage firms in Jan 2019

Al Rajhi Capital was the top brokerage firm operating in Saudi Arabia by market share (volume of transactions) in January 2019 for the third straight month, data compiled by Argaam showed.

 

The brokerage accounted for 14.68 percent (SAR 20.03 billion) of total market transactions on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) last month.

 

NCB Capital came in the second place, accounting for 12.98 percent (SAR 17.71 billion) of total trading last month.

 

Aljazira Capital took the third position, making up for 9.37 percent (SAR 12.79 billion) of total trading last month.

 

The combined trading value of brokerage firms rose SAR 16.1 billion month-on-month to SAR 136.42 billion in January.

 

Al Rajhi Capital topped the list of brokerages operating on the Nomu Parallel Market in the same month, brokering up to SAR 14.77 million of total transactions.

 

Meanwhile, the number of brokerages working on exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in January declined to ten firms in the same month.

 

Falcom Financial Services was the leading firm for the month, accounting for 99.23 percent (SAR 308.5 million) of total trading.

 

HSBC Saudi Arabia topped six brokerages that traded on sukuk and bonds with around SAR 150.78 million.
