Saudi banks’ treasury bond holdings rise in 2018

Saudi banks’ investments in treasury bonds increased by SAR 50.5 billion year-on-year to SAR 304.9 billion in 2018, new data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

Saudi banks’ treasury bond holdings increased by SAR 1.7 billion month-on-month in December.

 

SAMA’s foreign assets dropped SAR 24.3 billion for the month to around SAR 1.9 trillion.
