King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) signed an agreement with Jeddah-based Jamjoom Pharma to set up a specialist hospital on a total area of 100,000 square meters.
No further information were mentioned about the deal value.
Construction of the new hospital is expected to begin by mid-2021, and to be finalized by the end of 2024, KAEC said in a statement.
The new facility will have an initial capacity of 150 beds, expandable to 500 beds upon completion.
The medical project will provide 500 jobs in the early years of operation and about 800 job opportunities when completed, the statement added.
