Riyadh-based project management firm, Tatweer Buildings Co. signed SAR 45.5 million worth of public-private partnership (PPP) contracts in 2018, as part of the company’s investment plan to develop educational buildings with the participation of the private sector.
“These projects are divided among seven educational departments; Riyadh accounted for 63 percent of them,” Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Abdullah Al Amro, development director.
The private sector companies will lease kindergarten entities in Makkah in addition to building schools.
In January 2018, Tatweer Building Co., along with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education, said they will build 60 schools across Makkah and Jeddah under a PPP program.
