Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) plans to build seven mixed-use entertainment facilities, chairman Turki Al-Sheikh said on Twitter on Wednesday.
“We need to discuss investments and financing options with the local banks and financial institutions,” Al-Sheikh added.
Entertainment is not only confined to concerts and Saudis should rather find more quality entertainment choices, Al-Sheikh noted, adding that “entertainment will be further nurtured in new cities including Al Kharaj, Hail, Qassim, Arar, Al Jouf, Al Taif, Al Madinah, Al Baha, Jizan, Najran, Tabuk, Al Asa and Qatif, in addition to other major cities including Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.”
Al-Sheikh also indicated that the Saudi entertainment sector is open to both local as well as international investments.
