Prices of 33 goods and services in Saudi Arabia decreased year-on-year (YoY) in November, while prices of 126 commodities rose, official data issued by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Out of the total of 88 food products, prices of 17 items declined YoY for the month, while prices of other 70 products increased.
Figs saw the biggest drop at 15.05 percent YoY, while prices of eggs jumped the most by 31.41 percent YoY.
As for non-food commodities, the prices of 14 items increased in November, with laundry detergent rising the most by 16 percent, while women’s dresses dropped by 1 percent.
The prices of 10 services rose last month compared to November 2017, while three services saw their prices drop.
Prices of most fodder and livestock products increased in November.
Meanwhile, prices of 10 construction materials declined for the month, while 27 materials increased. Black cement prices saw the biggest drop of 6.81 percent, while the prices of cables 70mm rose the most by 13.41 percent.
