The National Center for Privatization has completed nine out of 17 initiatives that aim to privatize several government entities, Okaz newspaper reported, citing deputy CEO Mohammed Al-Sha’lan.
The center plans to sell five government assets and 14 companies by the end of 2020, the official said in a meeting with local investors at Asharqia chamber on Tuesday.
As for the privatization of the flour mills, he said these should be sold before the end of 2019, and the tender process will be started soon, Al-Sha’lan said.
Last year in March, Saudi Arabia’s cabinet had approved establishing the National Center for Privatization.
