Sahara Petrochemical Co. on Dec. 11 resumed operations at its subsidiary, Al Waha Petrochemical Co. after completing the necessary maintenance, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Wednesday.
The financial impact of the emergency shutdown reached nearly SAR 42 million based on current polypropylene prices, and is likely to show in Q4 2018, the statement added.
On Nov. 11, Sahara declared an emergency shutdown in Al Waha plant due to a technical defect in the cold box unit, Argaam earlier reported.
