Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) on Nov. 24 resumed operations at its International Methanol Co. (IMC) after completing the scheduled maintenance, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Sunday.
The regular maintenance came as part of the company’s energy efficiency and performance enhancement project to cut costs.
The related financial impact is likely to show in Q4 2018, Sipchem added.
The Jubail-based IMC has taken the necessary actions to limit the potential impact of the plant suspension on customers.
Sipchem halted operations at its methanol plant on Sept. 16, Argaam earlier reported.
