Saudi Arabia’s Debt Management Office appointed Hirofumi Sakioka as a temporary adviser, the finance ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Sakioka serves as deputy head of ECA Finance for EMEA at MUFG Bank in London.
The ministry seeks to attract and benefit from global financial expertise, it said.
The appointment reflects the kingdom’s strong ties with its financial partners and underlines its objectives to strengthen the Public Debt Management Office staff, as well as its strategies in order to diversify funding sources, the statement added.
