Standard Chartered is going ahead with its application for a banking license in Saudi Arabia following the death of Jamal Khashoggi, Reuters reported, citing Andy Halford, the bank’s chief financial officer.
"We have taken account of recent events, but conversely this is about running a business for the long-term and that process will continue," Halford said.
In October 2017, the bank said it was talking to regulators about applying for a license in the Kingdom.
