Saudi Aramco has more than 70 major projects under development, the state-oil giant said in its latest weekly magazine.
“Right now, Saudi Aramco has more than 70 major projects underway, with a capital budget of $414 billion set over the next ten years,” The Arabian Sun magazine quoted Saleh I. Al-Rumaih, manager of ASC Procurement and Logistics, as saying at a recent forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“We need to build up our network of construction and engineering suppliers to support this massive growth effort," he said, stating the time was opportune to partner with the company, as a number of these projects were in the early stages of development.
Providing an overview of Aramco’s project workload from 2019 to 2021, Emad A. Al-Johar, general supervisor in the project management office department’s (PMOD) contracting and market research division, said nearly three-quarters of these projects were focused on oil, gas, and petrochemicals, while the rest were in the civil infrastructure area.
These capital projects are delivering enhancements to the Saudi Aramco's offshore and onshore facilities, gas plants and more such as the Manifa and Khurais oil facilities, Wasit Gas Plant, Shaybah NGL Plant, and the Khursaniyah Oil and Gas Plant, he added.
