The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has set a price ceiling for domestic flights, Al-Watan newspaper reported, citing GACA’s President Abdulhakim Al Tamimi.
Five national airlines were able to compete in order to develop their services and reduce prices, he said.
Any carrier seeks to have a fully booked airplane, which will only happen if the prices are affordable, he explained.
Setting the right prices depends on supply and demand; however, the carrier is now limited by the price ceiling GACA has set, he added.
