Saudi Aramco has awarded a contract for all of its transportation requirements within the Kingdom to Naqel for eight years, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing energy minister Khalid Al-Falih.
The step aims to empower the Kingdom’s private sector companies, and confirms the high quality and reliability of the solutions and logistics services provided by Naqel, which is owned by the Saudi Post, Al-Falih said.
Naqel provides a wide range of supply chain solutions including air and marine freight, and land freight by trucks and trains. It also provides express transport services, refrigerated transport, and warehousing and handling services.
Services are provided by the company's fleet of more than 3,000 vehicles, trucks and network covering more than 4,900 cities and villages.
