Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) is likely to generate strong revenue from e-payment services, chief executive, Nasser Al-Nasser, told CNBC Arabia on Sunday.
The launch of STC Pay service comes as part of the telecom operator's strategy Saudi Vision 2030 reforms.
"Financial services are one of the main pillars in our strategy to diversify revenue streams and investments from core to non-core business. In the long term, we expect strong revenue," Al-Nasser said.
"We also expect more revenue from digital payment solutions and other additional services, to be launched going forward, such as loyalty programs," he added.
The telco recently launched its new service, STC Pay for digital payments and financial technology services, Argaam earlier reported.
