Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet approved on Tuesday the offering of six water projects for investment, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the cabinet approved the following projects:
1) Rabigh project (Phase 3) with a designed capacity of 600,000 cubic meters a day.
2) Shuqaiq project (Phase 3) with a designed capacity of 380,000 cubic meters a day and to increase capacity according to the need up to 450,000 cubic meters a day.
3) Jubail project (Phase 3) with a designed capacity of 1.17 million cubic meters a day and 3,000 megawatts.
4) Yanbu project (Phase 4) with a designed capacity of 450,000 cubic meters a day.
5) Sewage treatment plant in Northern Taif with a designed capacity of 270,000 cubic meters a day.
6) Sewage treatment plant in Jeddah (Airport 2) with a designed capacity of 500,000 cubic meters a day.
