The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has hired a “happiness specialist” to focus and study the satisfaction of its employees, an unprecedented move in the Kingdom.
The step aims to create a stimulating and productive work environment and to build the basis of work satisfaction through developing the human resources system, the ministry said in a statement.
The specialist will set staff happiness KPIs, create annual activity plans, and build strong communication programs among teams to raise positivity and innovation, the statement added.
