Tadawul market cap declines in July

The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) total equity market capitalization stood at SAR SAR 1.97 trillion in July, a decrease of 0.59 percent compared to previous month, according to data from the bourse.

Meanwhile, trading turnover surged 57.69 percent to SAR 73.21 billion compared to June.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed the month of July at 8,294.83 points, 19.36 points, or 0.23 percent, lower than a month earlier.

During the month, the index hit its highest level at 8,490.75 points on July 16.

The total number of shares traded reached 2.88 billion during the month, compared to 1.94 billion shares traded for the previous month, an increase of 48.64 percent.
